 Independent Living accommodations are houses, apartments, and duplexes located on IMH property that is not part of the congregate living studios and apartments. Residents pay for their own telephone, electricity, gas, and television services. Trash pick-up and water are included with the monthly maintenance fee. Also, available is the Protect Alert system available for the Independent Living Resident to purchase. This can be worn as a pendant or on the wrist. Emergency response to medical or other emergencies, access to all public accommodations such as dining room, library, meeting rooms, exercise areas, etc., routine maintenance on the accommodation, and yard maintenance are included services. Other ancillary services are available a-la-carte such as activities, meals, transportation, nursing care, medical care, business services, etc.
